July 24, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n Police say it was just luck that no one was seriously injured in a spectacular three-vehicle collision at the corner of Industrial Avenue and Kingaroy-Cooyar Road in Kingaroy about 9:30am today.<\/p>\n Senior-Sergeant Duane Frank said video cameras on a local business had captured the incident.<\/p>\n It appeared that a Subaru heading west on Industrial Avenue failed to give way to a Toyota Prado coming into Kingaroy past the airport on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road.<\/p>\n The first vehicle, which was T-boned in the centre of the intersection, ricocheted into a stay wire securing a power pole. It partially climbed the stay before rolling.<\/p>\n The two Gympie women on board – the 23-year-old driver and a passenger in her 40s – were both taken to Kingaroy Hospital. The passenger was treated for suspected chest injuries.<\/p>\n A 26-year-old Kingaroy woman with two small children were in the Toyota Prado. They were also taken to hospital for assessment.<\/p>\n After the Subaru and Prado collided, the Prado ricocheted into a stationery Nissan hatchback which was waiting in Industrial Avenue to cross the intersection. <\/p>\n The driver of this vehicle, a 65-year-old woman, was not injured.<\/p>\n Police, ambulance and Council staff attended the incident. <\/p>\n Snr Sgt Frank said the 23-year-old Gympie woman would be issued with a notice to appear in court on a charge of driving without due car and attention.<\/p>\n “It is really lucky that no one was more seriously hurt,” Snr Sgt Frank said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Police say it was just luck that no one was seriously injured in a spectacular three-car collision at the corner of Industrial Avenue and Kingaroy-Cooyar Road in Kingaroy about 9:30am today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":268462,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[25,1132],"yoast_head":"\n
