The recent frosts have made life uncomfortable for many South Burnett residents, but for one Nanango landlord, they have also caused thousands of dollars damage.<\/p>\n

During a recent frost, the water pipes in a Nanango flat complex froze and cracked.<\/p>\n

The only problem was, they were running through the roof cavity of the building, which meant when the water melted, it leaked through the ceiling into the living spaces below.<\/p>\n

Most of the damage was caused when parts of the ceiling collapsed.<\/p>\n

southburnett.com.au<\/strong> spoke to a local real estate agent who said that having water pipes in the ceiling was not uncommon.<\/p>\n

However, the agent said the damage showed why the pipes should be wrapped in lagging to help insulate them from the cold.<\/p>\n
