The St Mary’s Catholic College students who have given up the holidays to represent their school in various activities have done the region proud.<\/p>\n

Year 12 student Frank McGregor played Confraternity Rugby League for Xavier College.<\/p>\n

His team made it through to the Cup Grand Final but ended up being defeated 22-6 in a gutsy effort after one of their players was taken off with a suspected broken leg.<\/p>\n

Principal Michael Nayler said Frank played a great game despite an injured thigh.<\/p>\n

The school\u2019s netball team, competing at the Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball (QISSN) carnival at Runaway Bay, also did well.<\/p>\n

They ended up coming fourth in Division 6 after some very tough games, often against older competitors.<\/p>\n

Four of St Mary’s indigenous students also took part in a Leadership Camp at the University of Queensland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
