And they’re off … the start of the 2013 Tour de Kumbia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tomorrow’s “Tour de Kumbia” cycling race in Kumbia promises to be heaps of fun, even if you’re not a huge fan of cycling.<\/p>\n

While the semi-professionals are competing on the road course in Round 3 of the\u00a0Queensland Road Team Series\u00a0cycle race, there’ll be heaps of activities to enjoy in Kumbia.<\/p>\n

The Kumbia community has rallied behind the cycling event with a day of family activities planned from about 10:30am.<\/p>\n

There’ll be market stalls, a free jumping castle and slide plus face painting for the kids, and a decorated bicycle competition.<\/p>\n

Before the starter’s pistol goes off at noon, there’ll be a grand parade of classic cars.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be a display of historic bikes and live entertainment in the afternoon at the Kumbia Hotel.<\/p>\n

The Tour de Kumbia, and Sunday’s Tour de Kingaroy, will be contested by 18 teams of six riders so the massed start is not to be missed!<\/p>\n

The South Burnett races are part of a five-round series held throughout south-east Queensland. The final round will be held in Brisbane in August.<\/p>\n
