People who would like to secure a job in the tourism or hospitality industry are being invited to take part in a four-day training course later this month.<\/p>\n

The Queensland College of Wine Tourism (QCWT) will be running the course at Dusty Hill Vineyard in Moffatdale from June 24-27.<\/p>\n

QCWT chef and trainer Andrew Simpson will be showing participants how to prepare and serve espresso coffee, process financial transactions, and prepare simple dishes, appetisers and salads.<\/p>\n

The course is nationally recognised, competency-based hospitality training and will provide basic skills for anyone seeking employment in restaurants and cellar doors.<\/p>\n

The course is funded by the government and is being run to support the South Burnett wine industry.<\/p>\n

A limited number of places will also be available to the public for a $20 materials fee.<\/p>\n

“This is a perfect opportunity if you work in the wineries and wish to polish up on some skills, or are seeking employment within the exciting and growing South Burnett wine industry,” Andrew said.<\/p>\n
