Nanango Stags proved too strong for the home team Wondai in their U12 President’s Cup rugby league match on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The game was played in constant drizzle at Wondai Sportsground but that didn’t stop the enthusiastic young players or their proud supporters.<\/p>\n

The President’s Cup pitted the team in No 1 spot in the ladder at the half-way point in the competition (Nanango) against the No 2 points holder (Wondai).<\/p>\n

Points from the game counted as a regular round of the competition.<\/p>\n

The final score was Nanango 36, Wondai 10.<\/p>\n

Nanango’s try scorers were Matty Early, Paddy Gentry, Nik Birch, Jake Keating (2) and Saxton Hamson (3). Tristan Cortes and Joe Smith each kicked one goal.<\/p>\n

Wondai’s points were scored by Albert Dynevor (one try and one goal), and Kevin Hancock (try).<\/p>\n
