The Nanango Cultural Centre was transformed into a wedding wonderland on Saturday morning for a very special Funfest fundraiser.<\/p>\n

Funfest \/ Mardi Gras co-ordinator Sue Wallis said the original idea was a bridal parade but there was so much interest from some of the younger women in the community that it turned into a full bridal expo.<\/p>\n

Stalls lined the room featuring everything from table decorations to photography, and music for wedding celebrations.<\/p>\n

There was also a display of static wedding gowns from throughout the ages, along with photographs of weddings dating back to 1906.<\/p>\n

Sue said special mention should be made of Jen’s Party Hire who provided the large bridal balloon arch through which volunteers modelled some of the loaned dresses.<\/p>\n

Spectators enjoyed morning tea as the models paraded the wedding gowns.<\/p>\n

Sue said Funfest had a number of other fundraisers planned ahead of this year’s festival, including a black tie casino night in July.<\/p>\n
