A 61-year-old motorcyclist was injured in an incident on Parker Road at Ellesmere on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Police Officer-in-Charge Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said the man tried to pull off the road to allow enough space for an oncoming truck to pass, but lost control in the dirt.<\/p>\n

Police and ambulance attended and the man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.<\/p>\n

The truck did not hit the man or his bike.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy police allegedly found amphetamines in a vehicle they pulled over on the D’Aguilar Highway on Sunday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A police check revealed the 27-year-old male driver was also wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a drug driving charge.<\/p>\n

He now also faces charges of possessing and supplying dangerous drugs, and possessing drug-related property.<\/p>\n

Also on Sunday, police spoke to two youths in relation to offences which had occurred in the grounds of Kingaroy State High School.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pair were dealt with under the Youth Justices Act for trespass and damaging property.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday afternoon, police who were called to Gordonbrook Dam in relation to a small fire, located a 28-year-old man wanted in connection with outstanding matters, including domestic violence, evading a cab fare and obstructing police.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was arrested and taken into custody.<\/p>\n

The man was not connected with the fire on the river bank, which firefighters extinguished.<\/p>\n

A motorist probably thought he could get away with driving fast on the Bunya Highway at 4:30am, but Kingaroy Police were out there to get him …<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 32-year-old man was pulled over in the early hours of Sunday morning between Kingaroy and Memerambi doing 144km\/h in a 100km\/h zone.<\/p>\n

The offence means he has automatically lost his licence and has been fined more than $1000.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Police are urging local residents to lock their cars and garages at night – and to remove wallets and other valuables from vehicles – after a spate of recent thefts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said “opportunistic” thieves will often walk away from a locked car, knowing they will find an unlocked one just down the street.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
