Hopes that Kingaroy may get a new or renovated courthouse following the recent visit of Attorney-General Jarrod Blejie seem distant, but the good news is the courthouse clock is going to be repaired.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington said today the Kingaroy Courthouse grounds and clock would soon be getting some \u2018TLC\u2019.<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington said that following the recent visit by the Attorney-General and discussions with the Department, arrangements are being put in place to maintain the clock and grounds on a more regular basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that there have been concerns about the general untidiness of the area outside the Kingaroy Courthouse, and about the clock being the wrong time,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI took the opportunity while the Attorney-General was in Kingaroy this month to highlight the problem and the Department has let us know that immediate action will be taken to tidy up the grounds and fix the clock.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe courthouse staff have been doing their best to have the problem resolved, and this extra push will see this main part of Kingaroy looking much tidier.\u201d<\/p>\n
