Yarraman and Cooyar residents have been encouraged to have their say on Toowoomba Regional Council\u2019s strategic direction and community plans for the region.<\/p>\n

From now until Saturday, May 31, members of the public can view and provide feedback on Council’s draft Corporate Plan 2014-2019 and the draft mid-term review of the updated Toowoomba Regional Community Plan.<\/p>\n

Copies of the draft plans and feedback forms are available on Council\u2019s website and at libraries and Council customer service centres during standard business hours.<\/p>\n

Toowoomba Mayor Paul Antonio said the plans provided a clear direction for the region, particularly in light of the anticipated infrastructure boom and population and industry growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are predicting that these emerging challenges will put pressure on Council\u2019s existing services,\u201d Cr Antonio said. <\/p>\n

“Preserving the livability of the region is a key priority for Council and we have set about to reflect this in each of these plans.<\/p>\n

\u201cReview and feedback from the community is integral in ensuring these plans reflect their aspirations and desired outcomes for the region.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Published in 2010, the initial Toowoomba Regional Community Plan describes the overall vision for the region\u2019s long-term future.<\/p>\n

The Corporate Plan 2014-2019 sets out Council\u2019s strategic direction for the next five years and provides a framework to guide decision making, allocation of resources and the actions of Councillors and staff.<\/p>\n
