The Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE – operators of the Kingaroy and Nurunderi TAFE campuses – is no more.<\/p>\n

SQIT’s merger with the Bremer Institute of TAFE, a process which has been underway for almost a year, is now complete.<\/p>\n

The combined operation will now be known as “TAFE Queensland South West”, and will consist of 12 campus locations, including the Kingaroy and Cherbourg sites.<\/p>\n

Other campuses are located at Bundamba, Charleville, Chinchilla, Dalby, Inala, Roma, Springfield, Stanthorpe, Toowoomba and Warwick.<\/p>\n

A new website<\/a><\/strong> and orange logo have also been unveiled.<\/p>\n

Director TAFE Reform Trevor Schwenke, who was appointed to lead the combined institute last September, said students and the wider community should be excited about the changes and the greater opportunity the amalgamation brings.<\/p>\n

\u201cUniting the new region as part of the TAFE Queensland network enables us to draw on our strengths and take the best of what we do and offer that state wide,\u201d Mr Schwenke said.<\/p>\n

The merger is part of a State Government reorganisation of TAFE Queensland into six regions.<\/p>\n

An advertising campaign promoting TAFE Queensland has also been launched, using the slogan “Make Great Happen”.<\/p>\n
