South Burnett Regional Council has given the green light for alterations to plans for Kingaroy’s new $5.3 million motel development but the project is still on target for an October opening.<\/p>\n

Across Country Motels managing director Seth Peady told southburnett.com.au<\/strong> the development had been reduced to 32 rooms, with room for future expansions.<\/p>\n

A 60-seat restaurant and 200-seat function facility will now also be housed in the same building.<\/p>\n

This new building, formerly Stage 2 of the project, will span 0.1ha with an “outback” design.<\/p>\n

Mr Peady said the work schedule was tight but he was still planning to have the complex open in October.<\/p>\n

He was aiming to use as many local contractors as possible during the construction.<\/p>\n

When finished, the project will create about 20 jobs.<\/p>\n
