Bethany, located on Peterson Road at Taabinga, is celebrating its centenary this week<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

May 14, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bjelke-Petersen family property “Bethany” just outside Kingaroy is marking its centenary this week with a number of celebrations.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow (May 15), a Biggest Morning Tea will be held from 10:00am to raise funds for the Queensland Cancer Council.<\/p>\n

Cost is $5 to enter and there’ll be a lucky door prize and raffles. Bookings are essential. Phone Frances on (07) 4162-5068.<\/p>\n

The main day of celebrations will be Saturday:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Noon – 2:00pm – Lunch ($5)<\/li>\n
  • 1:00pm – 4:00pm – Vintage car display<\/li>\n
  • 12:15pm and 2:00pm – Tours ($10pp)<\/li>\n
  • 3:30pm – Lady Flo Bjelke-Petersen will unveil a centenary plaque<\/li>\n
  • From 12:30pm – DVD and photo displays<\/li>\n
  • 2:00pm – 4:00pm – Afternoon tea (scones \/ tea & coffee)<\/li>\n
  • 5:30pm – 8:15pm – South Burnett Shed Men – spit roast dinner and damper with guest speakers ($15)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    All proceeds from the day will go the Cancer Council.<\/p>\n
