Clare Adcock is back at school after spending an exciting three weeks in England and Scotland<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Murgon futsal player Clare Adcock is back at home after a triumphant tour of the United Kingdom with the Australian U14 Girls futsal team.<\/p>\n

Clare, a Year 9 student at St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy, was invited to play for Australia after competing at the 2013 National School Titles in Sydney last September.<\/p>\n

The team returned home last weekend undefeated after playing eight games in England and Scotland.<\/p>\n

It was Clare’s first trip overseas and she enjoyed the experience.<\/p>\n

“It was very different to Australia but I really liked it,” she said.<\/p>\n

“But it was very cold.”<\/p>\n

She didn’t know any of her 11 teammates so there was also plenty of training involved from the team coaches.<\/p>\n

“I learned lots,” she said.<\/p>\n

Clare has now set her sights on being selected to play in Brazil in a couple of years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
