{"id":66439,"date":"2014-05-06T15:05:08","date_gmt":"2014-05-06T05:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=66439"},"modified":"2020-08-21T18:52:48","modified_gmt":"2020-08-21T08:52:48","slug":"1000-drivers-breath-tested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2014\/05\/06\/1000-drivers-breath-tested\/","title":{"rendered":"1000 Drivers Breath-Tested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>May 6, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More than 1000 drivers were stopped and breath-tested by Kingaroy police during April but only three were charged with drink-driving.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy Police, said this was a good result &#8230; for April, at least.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of traffic crashed in the Kingaroy area was also down with only four people injured during the month.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;However people need to be continually vigilant about road safety every day they drive,&#8221; Snr Sgt Frank said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Snr Sgt Frank said crowds at the Kingaroy Show over the weekend were very well-behaved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had a couple of minor alcohol-related disturbances, and that was all,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A very small electrical fire in an oven at the Red Rooster restaurant in Kingaroy this morning caused no damage.
