April 27, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wondai’s\u00a0Anzac Day commemorations began with the traditional dawn service at 5:00am which attracted a crowd of more than 200 people.<\/p>\n

Residents then visited war service graces at Wondai Cemetery before returning to town for the procession and commemoration serice at 10:00am.<\/p>\n

Wondai RSL Sub-Branch president Neil Burrows moved the resolutions and read the Honour Roll.<\/p>\n

Guest speaker was South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann, who was due to leave on Sunday for Europe to take part in a special commemoration service in the Netherlands for former Murgon resident Patrick Tiernan, killed during World War II.<\/p>\n

Wreaths were then laid on the Memorial and the Last Post was played by Lucy Jacobsen.<\/p>\n
