38pts<\/li>\n<li>Kay Dugdell, George Wolski and Brian Dugdell &#8211; 37pts<\/li>\n<li>John Beattie, John McConnell and Nev Lawrence &#8211; 29pts<\/li>\n<li>Chris, Leo Robinson and Horst Meyer &#8211; 28.5pts<\/li>\n<li>Tom Johnson, Robyn Dierke and Helene Johnson &#8211; 25pts<\/li>\n<li>Bob Hammond, Ben Pratap and Bob Hall &#8211; 20.5pts<\/li>\n<li>Joe Aglizzio, Lew Saunders and Allan Ward &#8211; 12pts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And in Friday&#8217;s Scroungers, Greg Pogson took Ben Pratap off the ladder when he scored 76.<\/p>\n<p>Next best was Lew Saunders with 57, while Ben Pratap came in behind with 47.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Yarraman news:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ladies Club had a good week on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>In the B Singles Championships, Jenny Moore defeated Yvonne Schultz 25-23 in a real nail-biter of a match.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday was also trophy day, with conditions of play 1 game of 21 ends, decided on most ends won.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Winners: Bev Profke, Eileen Elliott and Eunice Smith def Di Currell, Leo Robinson and Madison Currell 27-13 &#8211; 15 ends to 6<\/li>\n<li>Runners-Up: Kev Profke and Alison Anderson def Ivy Wrembeck, Horst Myer and Margaret Wiloughby 24-10 &#8211; 13 ends to 8 on a count back<\/li>\n<li>Helene Johnson, Lola Harper and Roy Wrembeck def Lorri Holmes, Glenda Wolski and Tom Johnson 20-15 &#8211; 13 ends to 8<\/li>\n<li>Neil Currell, John Beattie and Kay Dugdell def Gloria Anderson, Robyn Diercke and Yvonne Schultz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the final of the Men&#8217;s B Singles, Ron Lucas defeated Todd Currell 25-11.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, one to note in your diary: Thursday night bowls are now finished until the weather warms up.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Tansey news:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There was a big roll-up at Tansey last Saturday for their President\u2019s Day, with most teams in the Burnett District taking part.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Winners: Nanango &#8211; 2 wins plus 8<\/li>\n<li>Runners Up: Kingaroy &#8211; 2 wins plus 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>1st round results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kingaroy 20 d Yarraman 16<\/li>\n<li>Nanango 17 d Durong 13<\/li>\n<li>Murgon 16 d Wondai 12<\/li>\n<li>Burnett Official 18 d Tansey Official 16<\/li>\n<li>Binjour 23 d Goomeri 10<\/li>\n<li>Biggenden 15 d Proston 14<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2nd Round results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wondai 13 d Burnett Official 11<\/li>\n<li>Tansey 20 d Binjour 4<\/li>\n<li>Goomeri 11 d Biggenden 10<\/li>\n<li>Yarraman 21 d Proston 4<\/li>\n<li>Kingaroy 12 d Durong 11<\/li>\n<li>Nanango 15 d Murgon 11<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tansey&#8217;s Championship Pairs has also be been completed, and the final saw a great result when Alec Barsby and Michael Litfin 20 defeated Rainer Marschall and Dave Banbury 11<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Kilcoy news:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some listeners phoned in with the sad tale that they did not hear our program last week and wanted to know how the Pub Day went<\/p>\n<p>Well, you can read all about it &#8211; and even see some photos of the happy Kilcoy winners and runners-up &#8211; in <a href=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2014\/04\/south-burnett-bowls-news-31\/\"><strong>South Burnett Bowls News<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Esk news:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Esk have been building up their frequent bowling points lately with trips away to Woongoolba, Gatton, Toogoolawah and Lowood.<\/p>\n<p>Next week they&#8217;re heading back to Gatton for the next round of Round Robin.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the rain, they also managed to complete more Championship games &#8211; and there were a couple of surprising results.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the Ladies Singles, Pearlie Jenkins defeated Vicki Cameron 26-13<\/li>\n<li>In the Open Triples, Pearlie Jenkins, Ted Jenkins and Doug Laidlaw defeated Laurie Thomson, Armand Leten and John Blank 35-7.<\/li>\n<li>And in the next round of Open Triples, Vicki Cameron, Allan Cameron and Frank Hussey defeated Pearlie Jenkins, Ted Jenkins and Doug Laidlaw 36-6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I am told the scores did not reflect the closeness of the games.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>So what&#8217;s on the program around the other clubs over the Easter break?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, most are taking it easy but a couple of clubs will have fairly full greens on some days.<\/p>\n<p>Yarraman is looking forward to the return match of the Rotational triples clash with Nanango &#8211; it&#8217;s being held at Yarraman, and as I mentioned near the start of this week&#8217;s column, Nanango hold bragging rights at the moment<\/p>\n<p>And on Sunday at Yarraman, there&#8217;ll be club select bowls at 12.30pm<\/p>\n<p>But all roads will truly lead to Yarraman next Thursday &#8211; it&#8217;s Pub Day.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon also have a big weekend planned: Invitational Triples on both Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>How about Anzac Day?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, most clubs are planning bowls on Anzac Day, so you should take a look at your clubhouse&#8217;s notice boards.<\/p>\n<p>In Yarraman, it will be their big Anzac Shield match.<\/p>\n<p>The State Office of Liquor and Gaming have advised that two up is legal on Anzac Day, so be prepared to place your bets.<\/p>\n<p>It also looks like being a full green for the Pines Carnival in Yarraman, which runs for two days on the first weekend in May.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Like South Burnett bowls news?
