April 15, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

Campdraft fans who have been starved of action this year turned out in force for Saturday’s Cooyar Campdraft.<\/p>\n

They enjoyed some good contests in all divisions.<\/p>\n

Local families supplied the cattle, which have been in short supply on the circuit.<\/p>\n

The drought has really thrown this year’s local campdraft program into disarray.<\/p>\n

The Goomeri Campdraft, which was also to have been held at the weekend, was postponed to a date to be fixed.<\/p>\n

Next weekend’s planned Kumbia Charity Campdraft has been cancelled and the Proston Golden Spurs postponed.<\/p>\n

The Manumbar (April 26-27) and Widgee (May 2-4) campdrafts have been cancelled.<\/p>\n

Kilkivan (May 10-11) has been postponed to a date to be fixed but Nanango is still scheduled to go ahead on May 24-25.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the Burrandowan and Cooranga drafts were both cancelled but slightly further away, Toogoolawah and Brymaroo went ahead.<\/p>\n

UPDATE:<\/span> Because of the drought conditions, the Nanango Campdraft has been postponed to a date to be fixed.<\/b><\/p>\n
