Last Thursday they were graduating from the Queensland Police Academy at Oxley … now brand new constables Chad Truscott and Christie Turner are ready to tackle crime on the streets of Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Constable Truscott – from Adelaide – and Constable Turner – from the Sunshine Coast – have been placed at Kingaroy Police Station for 12 months.<\/p>\n

They will work through their duties under the watchful eyes of two more senior officers, Senior-Constable Dan Walters and Senior-Constable Todd Armstrong, who will be showing them the ropes.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior-Sergeant Duane Frank, said yesterday the two officers could be deployed anywhere in the State following their initial appointment to Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

There are currently 33 people based at the Kingaroy Police Station.<\/p>\n

As well as general duties uniformed officers, there are two specialist child protection officers, three detectives, two stock and rural officers, two traffic police, a full-time police prosecutor and administration staff.<\/p>\n

The detectives will be relocating their offices into the Artie Kerr Building later this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
