CROW-FM and South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann have joined the campaign to help raise funds for Murgon mum Shona Muckert to have specialised surgery.<\/p>\n

A number of events have been held throughout the South Burnett over the past six months to help her raise the necessary money to have osseo-integration surgery which should enable her to walk again.<\/p>\n

Shona lost both her legs in a car accident about nine years ago.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry today issued an appeal to local businesses to support a radio auction which will be held on CROW-FM at a date to be fixed.<\/p>\n

Donations of items to be auctioned can be left at the CROW-FM building in Wondai or at the South Burnett Regional Council office in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The next major fundraiser scheduled for Shona is the PCYC Charity Ball which will be held on March 29 from 6:00om at the Murgon PCYC.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After earlier fears that the Ball may have to be cancelled because of poor ticket sales, Shona announced on Facebook last night that it is now definitely going ahead.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available for $90, which includes a\u00a0 three-course meal, from the PCYC.<\/p>\n

Channel 10 news show “The Project” have filmed a story about Shona. It is expected to be broadcast on Tuesday, March 25 at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n
