Works by North Queensland wildlife and Aussie heritage artist Owen Pointon will be featured at the Bunya Forest Gallery on the Bunya Mountains during April.<\/p>\n

The solo art show is entitled “Autumn in the Bunyas” and includes paintings and limited edition prints depicting the wildlife and scenery of the Bunya Mountains.<\/p>\n

Owen, who grew up at Cleveland in Brisbane, has been sketching and painting since the age of 10.<\/p>\n

But the self-taught artist has been painting seriously for more than 15 years, particularly after the former postie decided on a tree change to North Queensland.<\/p>\n

These days he’s based on the Atherton Tablelands where he particularly enjoys capturing the local wildlife on canvas.<\/p>\n
