A driver taking part in today’s Aussie Bush Rally in the Gallangowan forestry near Manumbar has been flown to hospital with spinal injuries after a crash.<\/p>\n

An RACQ CareFlight Rescue spokesman said the 41-year-old Sunshine Coast man lost control of his vehicle which veered off the course and down a 20m embankment this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to the scene where its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the man for spinal complications.<\/p>\n

He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

A female co-driver was also on-board at the time of the crash. She was treated by paramedics at the scene. Her injuries and condition are not known.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
