A good crowd turned out to enjoy the sunshine and racing at Lee Park, Nanango, this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the racing was Race 4, the Sawtell Industries Class 3 Plate, when three runners – Playful Paris, Double Honour and Edwardscissorhands – hit the line in a pack.<\/p>\n

It turned out to be a consolation victory for jockey Leanne McCoy on board Playful Paris.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the afternoon she had been called to the stewards room after an incident in Race 2 when jockey Jason Hoopert, on He’s No Saint, was checked by her mount Royal Rocket. McCoy was suspended for six race meetings after pleading guilty to a careless riding charge.<\/p>\n

McCoy was also involved in an incident in Race 3 on board Miss Warrego, but this time as the victim.\u00a0Lyle Appo, the rider of Jorja’s Dragon, was found guilty of a careless riding charge after he directed his mount outwards when insufficiently clear of Miss Warrego. \u00a0Appo was also suspended for six meetings. \u00a0He gained his satisfaction by bringing home the winner in the last race.<\/p>\n
