Their form continued in the next game, defeating Alloway in the final on another penalty shootout.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s competition, it looked likely that a South Burnett team could take the prize when Wests women&#8217;s team finished second in Pool A, behind Hervey Bay, and Nanango women&#8217;s team finished second in Pool B, behind Alloway.<\/p>\n<p>But it was not to be. The Panthers finished second runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>Wests went through to the final, but despite a valiant effort, went down 2-0 to Hervey Bay.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 32nd year that the seven-a-side carnival has been held in Kingaroy and the influx of players and supporters always provides a welcome economic boost to the region.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_58447\"
