South Burnett gathered at the Kingaroy Hotel-Motel on Monday night for an opportunity to talk with Queensland&#8217;s Minister for Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services Tracy Davis.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Davis&#8217; visit to the region was organised by Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Frecklington said the purpose of the meeting was to give South Burnett community and welfare groups the opportunity to air their views directly to the Minister, and also hear the State Government&#8217;s views on welfare issues.<\/p>\n<p>About 40 representatives from local organisations as diverse as South Burnett CTC, Centacare, the Endeavour Foundation, SB Care, Murgon&#8217;s Graham House Community Centre and the Wondai District Homes For The Aged attended.<\/p>\n<p>SBRC Mayor Wayne Kratzmann, Communities portfolio chair Cr Ros Heit, CEO Ken McLoughlin and General Manager Planning, Community and Environment Stan Taylor also came along, taking the opportunity to get a first-hand briefing on State Government policy in this area as well as hear more about the situation currently being experienced &#8220;on the ground&#8221; by the
