Residents in Yarraman, Upper Yarraman and Gilla will benefit from the latest round of rollouts of the National Broadband Network.<\/p>\n

NBN Co announced today that following a planning and consultation phase, construction of a fixed wireless broadband network has commenced at Yarraman which when completed will allow homes and businesses in the area to connect fast broadband services.<\/p>\n

Residents in these areas are encouraged to visit the NBN Co website to see if their home or business is included as part of the coverage footprint via the interactive map<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

On average, it takes about 12 months from the start of construction until residents and business owners can order NBN retail services from telephone or internet service providers.<\/p>\n

NBN Co said more information would be provided to residents about how to connect as construction neared completion.<\/p>\n

The wholesale fixed wireless service offers retail service providers download speeds of up to 25Mb per second and upload speeds of up to 5Mb per second.<\/p>\n

These speeds will be available to internet service providers. Speeds actually achieved by end users will depend on equipment quality, software, broadband plans and how the end user\u2019s service provider designs its network.<\/p>\n
