The Highway Christian Church is now offering a Certificate IV in Ministry (Leadership) in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The accredited course by the Australian Skills Quality Authority offers a nationally recognised qualification and is also Austudy approved.<\/p>\n

The Certificate IV can be completed in one year full-time or up to four years part-time with the church providing weekly lectures to assist student learning.<\/p>\n

Pastor Mary Rub said there were a number of benefits for students who chose to study locally.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy completing the certificate locally, students receive face-to-face lectures as well as significantly lower course costs,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Students are also able to train within their local churches and focus on their preferred area of ministry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe year is off to an amazing start and the enthusiasm of those who have already enrolled is extremely encouraging. Our role as the local campus is to not only instruct students but to also support them with their studies.<\/p>\n

“We focus on providing a supportive learning environment and students are able to access personal assistance to help with their studies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The training is being offered via Alphacrucis College which opened in 1948.<\/p>\n

Alphacrucis College is an official training college operated by the Australian Christian Churches (Assemblies of God in Australia).<\/p>\n

\u201cAlphacrucis is a recognised college that has been operating for over 60 years. We saw this as an amazing opportunity and felt that this was something that we could offer to build leaders within our local community,” Pastor Rub said.<\/p>\n

“We feel very privileged to be able to offer quality training to help members of our community achieve their goals.\u201d<\/p>\n
