Raising Dust and Dollars may be the slogan for the usual Endeavour Rally … but Saturday’s one-day effort was a lot more civilized.<\/p>\n

The rally, which was flagged away at the Kingaroy Cricket Club after a sausage sizzle breakfast cooked by the Kingaroy Lions, stuck to the bitumen for most of the journey.<\/p>\n

About 70 vehicles took part, including 47 from Brisbane.<\/p>\n

Entrants each paid $50 for the privilege of about 300km of driving, heading to Kumbia, the Bunya Mountains, Cooyar and Maidenwell before heading back to Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

A fun, social night was held at the Cricket Club after the rally.<\/p>\n

And the rally wasn’t just for cars … Dave and Petra Butterfield, from Moffatdale, took part in their 1987 Yamaha XJ900 with sidecar\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The real reason for the rally … a group of Endeavour residents from Kurt Hubbers Lodge were on hand as the vehicles roared away<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
