Just four months after re-opening in a flurry of publicity, the\u00a0historic Wondai Hotel is back on the market.<\/p>\n

Owners\u00a0Jessica and Michael Beohm made the surprise announcement in a media release today.<\/p>\n

“There has come a time in this journey where work commitments have had to become a priority and our direction and focus due to family and personal interests have come to the forefront,” Michael said in the statement.<\/p>\n

“The Wondai Hotel freehold and business is for sale.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We would love a buyer to take on this building and continue to develop this hotel as a signature establishment.<\/p>\n

“Jessica and I would love to stay involved and help the new owner create this hotel as Chloe\u2019s, the community and the region’s number one asset, bringing family and friends together.<\/p>\n

“To support the continued growth of the building and increasing customer visitation, the building and business will be sold for $395,000 which includes most fixtures, fittings and furniture.”<\/p>\n

Michael, Jessica (who is the senior dentist at Kingaroy Hospital)\u00a0and her mother Eleanor Bellgrove purchased the hotel in 2012.<\/p>\n

After extensive renovations, mostly done by the family themselves, the hotel reopened last October.<\/p>\n

The same month, the couple announced they would be selling locally produced wine under their YOLO \u00a0(“You Only Live Once”) label.<\/p>\n

In December, they unveiled a larger-than-life version of Young & Jackson’s iconic painting of Chloe.<\/p>\n

As recently as a fortnight ago, Michael – whose leave from Education Queensland finishes later this year – was hard at work refurbishing the upstairs accommodation.<\/p>\n

Michael is vice-president of the South Burnett Tourism Association.<\/p>\n
