Kingaroy police have taken possession of five cannabis plants more than 2m tall after they were called to a residence in Wooroolin yesterday evening.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said police were called to the home in Short Street on an unrelated matter.<\/p>\n

While they were there, they allegedly located the tall cannabis growing along the side of the house.<\/p>\n

An 18-year-old Wooroolin man has been charged with producing a dangerous drug, possessing a danger drug and possessing drug utensils.<\/p>\n

The man’s 48-year-old mother has been charged with permitting a place to be used for drug offences.<\/p>\n

The pair will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 20.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said the plants were in good condition and obviously well cared for.<\/p>\n

He said it was uncommon to find cannabis plants of this size growing in the local area but this was the second time within a week.<\/p>\n
