January 21, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

The condition of a 79-year-old male driver injured in Monday night’s two-vehicle crash at Tingoora worsened overnight in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

The man, who is in the PA Hospital in Brisbane, is now listed in a serious condition.<\/p>\n

His 77-year-old wife was also airlifted to Brisbane with non life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The couple, from Woorim on Bribie Island, were travelling in a Kia hatchback which collided with a black Commodore utility at the intersection of the Chinchilla-Wondai Road and the Bunya Highway shortly after 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

Both vehicles left the road and went down a steep embankment before coming to rest.<\/p>\n

The driver of the second vehicle, a 28-year-old Kingaroy man, was transported to Kingaroy Hospital suffering minor injuries.<\/p>\n

Police forensic crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident however a police spokesman said it was believed the vehicle travelling on the Chinchilla-Wondai Road failed to give way to the vehicle travelling north on the Bunya Highway.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
