{"id":53482,"date":"2013-12-17T19:49:08","date_gmt":"2013-12-17T09:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=53482"},"modified":"2020-09-06T13:33:33","modified_gmt":"2020-09-06T03:33:33","slug":"have-a-say-about-mobile-telephone-black-spots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2013\/12\/17\/have-a-say-about-mobile-telephone-black-spots\/","title":{"rendered":"Have A Say About Mobile<br> Telephone &#8216;Black Spots&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_4723\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4723\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/warrentruss.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4723\" title=\"Warren Truss\" src=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/warrentruss.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4723\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Federal Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>December 17, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss has invited feedback from local communities about the Federal Government\u2019s new $100 million regional mobile coverage program.<\/p>\n<p>The program aims to improve mobile telephone coverage in under-serviced areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe program will have two components, an $80 million Mobile Network Expansion Project to improve coverage along major transport routes, in small communities and in disaster-prone areas, and a $20 million Mobile Black Spot Project to improve mobile coverage in locations with unique coverage problems,\u201d Mr Truss said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInadequate mobile phone coverage is a significant concern for regional communities.
