Drinkers beware … police across the South Burnett will be taking part in an integrated Australia \/ New Zealand-wide blitz against alcohol-fuelled violence this weekend as part of a special crackdown dubbed “Operation Unite” .<\/p>\n

Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said the blitz would run from Friday to Sunday.<\/p>\n

“Police will be out and about and raising awareness about the dangers of binge drinking,” he said.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said there would be a highly visible police presence across the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

He said police will not tolerate alcohol-fuelled violence on our streets.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank warned against the dangers of binge drinking which could lead to fights, brawls, injuries and worse.<\/p>\n

“We ask people to drink responsibly, drink safely and watch out for their mates,” Snr Sgt Frank said.<\/p>\n
