It was another big night at the Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway on Saturday night with local drivers rubbing shoulders with some of the best from across the nation.<\/p>\n

Murgon driver TJ Horne picked up his first Production Sedan feature win in an exciting 17-lap final during which three different drivers \u00a0jostled for the lead before Horne – who started back in seventh spot – took charge.<\/p>\n

Caboolture driver Trent Humphreys, Queensland champion Tim Atkin, from Gympie, and the Sunshine Coast’s Jim Cowley traded places before Horne demonstrated his dominance, overtaking all three and pulling away from the field.<\/p>\n

Gympie’s Stephen English also worked his way through traffic to finish second.<\/p>\n

Darren Kane, above, took out the Queensland Super Sedan title after his chief rival, Matt Pascoe, started the feature race back in the field\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In the Queensland\u00a0Super Sedan Title, Ipwich’s Darren Kane came out on top after duelling\u00a0with South Australian driver Dave Gartner lap after lap.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kane took the lead on lap 32 and hung on to win, \u00a0just ahead of Gartner and Australian champion Matt Pascoe, who started the feature race from 17th position.<\/p>\n

Pascoe and Kane have been dominating the Queensland Super Sedan season with four wins apiece ahead of Saturday night.<\/p>\n

It’s been a good year for Kane in Kingaroy. At his last outing here he went home with the\u00a0Zoe Girdlestone Memorial trophy and in October he set a new Super Sedan one lap record of 14.612 seconds.<\/p>\n

In Street Stocks, \u00a0Hervey Bay’s Josh Arthur continued his great form, having another perfect night. Arthur won all three heats and started from the back of the feature to beat home Kingaroy’s Ryan Harris and Bundaberg’s Anthony Lennon.<\/p>\n

A big field of Junior Sedans lined up on the night. \u00a0Gympie’s Brendan Learoyd drove a brilliant race to win the feature from James Kennedy and Kayla Dawson.<\/p>\n

In the Formula 500s, Beenleigh racer Kristin Brown took the win from her brother Charlie Brown with Ryan Skennar rounding out third.<\/p>\n

The next meeting at the Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway will be\u00a0Australia’s richest Modified Sedan race, the “$10,000 to win” Kings Royal on January 24-26.<\/p>\n

This will be the biggest sedan event seen in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

Organisers will be hoping for better luck than last year when the inaugural event was washed out by the January floods.<\/p>\n
