Santa usually travels either by reindeer power, or a one horsepower open sleigh … so a many-horsepower hotrod can make a nice change.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Gas Guzzlers invited Father Christmas along on their annual Christmas Lights Cruise in Kingaroy on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The cruise – which was an authorised Australian Street Rod Federation event – saw Santa in a green T-bucket lead a procession of hotrods and street machines on a tour of Christmas lights in town.<\/p>\n

Along the way, they distributed sweets.<\/p>\n

The annual Christmas Cruise has been happening for about 10 years but has been organised by the Gas Guzzlers for the last five years.<\/p>\n

Club spokesman Terry Mackrell said the Gas Guzzlers had some exciting things happening.<\/p>\n

Construction of their new clubhouse in Nanango will begin soon.<\/p>\n
