It’s almost December and it’s definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the Wondai Diggers Club hosted two very special Christmas break-ups.<\/p>\n

The Barambah social group of the\u00a0Legacy Club of Fraser Coast and Country Burnett held their Christmas lunch in one room, while the Kingaroy Laurel Club held its Christmas break-up just across the building.<\/p>\n

The Laurel Club ladies are a social club made up of widows of veterans and ex-servicemen.<\/p>\n

Barambah Legacy members meet monthly for social outings, ranging from a simple cup of tea and a chat to bus trips. The group has members in Murgon, Wondai, Proston, Kilkivan and Goomeri, all of whom have suffered the loss of a spouse or parent during or after their defence force service.<\/p>\n

In Kingaroy, South Burnett CTC held its annual Staff and Family Christmas Party at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre.<\/p>\n

And this weekend, there’s a sackful of festive events including the Nanango Christmas Tree Festival, the Blackbutt Christmas Festival, the South Burnett Chorale’s “A Musical Christmas Pudding”, the Kingaroy Community Christmas Carols and the Nanango Community Christmas Carols.<\/p>\n
