Kingaroy residents will be urged to “count their blessings” at this year’s Kingaroy Christmas Carols on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy and District Ministries Association chairman Cameron Rub, the Senior Pastor at the Highway Christian Church, said the whole community was invited to be a part of the annual event.<\/p>\n

He said the theme for the evening was “Blessed to be a Blessing”.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe theme for the night is about being thankful for our blessings and thinking of other people rather than just ourselves,\u201d Pastor Rub said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe organising committee was focused on making this year\u2019s carols about celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe carols are programmed to run in order to reflect the Christmas story. There will be a progressive story throughout the night in regards to the history behind the carols mixed in with a lot of fun.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will finish the night with an Australian Christmas song. It\u2019s going to be one of those songs that everyone loves and they will be singing it for the rest of the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe song is titled \u2018Born is a King\u2019 and it will make for a nice finale. We will have all of our carollers involved at the end of the night with children joining in the song.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be well worth sticking around to the very end for everyone to join together with the finale.\u201d<\/p>\n

The carols will be held on Sunday, December 1 in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt.<\/p>\n

Food and drink stalls will open at 5:00pm with entertainment from 5:45pm. The carols will start at 6:30pm.

\n“This year we have an earlier start to make it easier for children and parents to stick around to the end,” Pastor Cam said.<\/p>\n
