Historic Ringsfield House at Nanango is undergoing a renewal in the form of a new paint job, both inside and out.<\/p>\n

Nanango Historical Society President Roslyn Gregor said the painting of the roof and external walls had begun, and the internal walls would be completed over the Christmas break.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough the paintwork is still in reasonable condition, it is almost 20 years since it was last painted,” Ros said.<\/p>\n

“We are very fortunate and most grateful to have received a grant from the Heritage Community fund for the work both outside and in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ringsfield will be closed from December 11 to January 14.<\/p>\n

It has been a busy year of restoration at the Ringsfield House complex.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nanango\u2019s first Presbyterian Church has been completed inside and out and has already proved popular as a wedding venue.<\/p>\n

Nanango\u2019s first school has been converted into a new air-conditioned, hi-tech meeting room.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Pat Lee Meeting Room\u201d has been designed for conferences, meetings and seminars with the added advantage of catering being provided by Ringsfield’s volunteers.<\/p>\n

The much-needed sealing of the circular driveway around Ringsfield House has also been completed and new paving is currently being laid to the school and church.<\/p>\n

Ringsfield’s grounds and gardens are now being upgraded, and the gardens are looking spectacular thanks to volunteer David Lee and his band of gardeners.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Historical Society, in partnership with the South Burnett Regional Council are looking forward to increasing visitor numbers to Ringsfield and further developing the precinct as a major tourism attraction in the South Burnett,” Ros said.<\/p>\n
