St Mary\u2019s Catholic College’s senior netball team will compete in the Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball (QISSN) competition in Caloundra during the first week of the school holidays.<\/p>\n

QISSN is an annual netball carnival held mid-year which attracts many of Queensland\u2019s finest independent secondary school netball teams.<\/p>\n

The carnival\u2019s popularity is such that the number of participating teams is now capped at 48.<\/p>\n

The 2012 QISSN Carnival will be held in Caloundra and is hosted by Chisholm Catholic College, Cornubia.<\/p>\n

The St Mary\u2019s team have been training for the QISSN competition under their coach Racheal Stenning since the start of the year.<\/p>\n

Throughout the year, the players and parents have held many fundraising events, supported by local South Burnett businesses, to raise the money needed to compete in this competition.<\/p>\n

The team was presented with their jerseys and travelling kits at a special College assembly this week.<\/p>\n

College Sports Co-ordinator\u00a0Mark Holmes said he was sure the girls\u2019 training, team spirit and hard work would see them perform well against against the many larger schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
