A Kingaroy business will raise money for the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal by helping Santa send letters to well-behaved children.<\/p>\n

Somethings Country owner Janelle Frohloff said each Christmas she thought up a new way to help raise money for local charities.<\/p>\n

“This year we thought we\u2019d give Santa a helping hand to get letters out to remind children to be good in the lead up to Christmas,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe letters are from Santa on specially printed Claus paper and personally addressed to the child. They are posted from the North Pole and delivered direct to each child\u2019s mail box.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe loved the idea of helping Santa post these letters, as it is not often that kids receive mail addressed to them from anyone these days.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a nice surprise for them to collect the mail and see something addressed to them. They get an even bigger surprise when they see that it has come from Santa.\u201d<\/p>\n

In previous years, Somethings Country has raised money for the Salvation Army by doing personalised Christmas baubles.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe decided to again support the Salvation Army as they are such a worthy charity. I love the theme of the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, which is \u2018Give HOPE this Christmas and help change lives\u2019,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Somethings Country will donate 30 per cent from every letter sent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
