Cherbourg’s\u00a0Yurri Muntha Caf\u00e9 is expanding to accommodate a growing clientele.<\/p>\n

The Cherbourg eatery will enlarge its deck and build a special room to host exhibitions and professional meetings.<\/p>\n

The staff will also get added training and a mentor will be hired to enable a growing number of schoolchildren to do work experience.<\/p>\n

Yurri Muntha has been running for a year and manager Sheree Strauss said it made sense to expand the business.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new meeting room will host about a dozen people and we\u2019ll be on hand to provide up-to-the-minute catering,\u201d Ms Strauss said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe room will also cater for the latest technology in an easygoing atmosphere.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople will come here and feel relaxed by knowing everything will be taken care of.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey can then concentrate on their project to hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Art and photo exhibitions will also be hosted in the room for patrons and tourists to view.<\/p>\n

Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council CEO Warren Collins said the Yurri Muntha extensions would add to the town\u2019s character.<\/p>\n

He was grateful for a State Government grant that would make them possible.<\/p>\n

Work is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis grant will take it to a new level,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
