The Kingaroy Writers Association held a workshop on Tuesday, November 5. We had 13 members present.<\/p>\n

The 2013 KWA book is now for sale at $10 per copy.<\/p>\n

The Christmas break-up will be at the Kingaroy RSL on Tuesday, December 3, starting 11:30am. Financial members will each be given $10 toward the cost of their meals.<\/p>\n

We presented our epigrams and unusual words for the day, including such gems as \u201celegiac\u201d, \u201cquadrumanous\u201d, \u201cthanatophobia\u201d and \u201coperculum\u201d.<\/p>\n

We presented our homework, with a break for smoko at 10:30am.<\/p>\n

The day ended with a lively discussion about how to know where to stop in telling a story.<\/p>\n

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, November 19. Homework for that meeting is to write about 1000 words on the topic \u201cMistaken Identity\u201d, to invent an epigram about \u201cA Fertile Egg\u201d and to find an unusual word and its meaning.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Writers Association meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Uniting Church hall, corner Alford and Youngman streets, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Meetings start at 9:30am and we warmly welcome visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
