Former Under Treasurer Helen Gluer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Former Tarong Energy and Stanwell CEO Helen Gluer has resigned from her role as Under Treasurer “for personal reasons”.<\/p>\n

Treasurer Tim Nicholls said today Ms Gluer had been instrumental in helping the State Government get Queensland\u2019s finances back on track.<\/p>\n

\u201cHelen Gluer\u2019s leadership of the Treasury department has ensured the government could begin the fiscal repair task as quickly as possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was appointed to the role as soon as the government came to office and from the beginning has been leading the implementation of our plans to restore Queensland\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n

\u201cMs Gluer also broke new ground as the first woman to take on the role of Queensland Under Treasurer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMs Gluer\u2019s advice to government has been highly valued.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wish her well in her future endeavours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Nicholls said a recruitment process would be put in place to find a replacement for Ms Gluer.<\/p>\n

Ms Gluer was appointed to the new Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) board late last month.<\/p>\n
