The Kingaroy Town Hall was packed on Saturday night with Olympians … or at least would-be Olympians.<\/p>\n

Their sporting prowess may be in doubt, but not their gold medal-winning fundraising efforts – an impressive $5000 was raised for the South Burnett Autism Support Group at its annual Trivia Night.<\/p>\n

More than 200 people, grouped into teams and dressed with an Olympic theme, attended the annual fundraiser.<\/p>\n

The infamous Jamaican Bobsled team put in an appearance, as did some refugees from the former Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

There was also an abundance of green and gold …<\/p>\n

The money raised on the night will provide educational experiences for children and adults who have autism.<\/p>\n

Major sponsors included Gumnut Place, Brumbies, Betta Electrical Murgon, Mrs Edna Dean and Mooloolabah Holiday Apartments.<\/p>\n

SBASG long-time member and founder Jenny Lutz<\/strong> thanked the Trivia Night committee, South Burnett Autism Support Group members, South Burnett Young Leaders Association members and family and friends who volunteered their time to help co-ordinate and set-up\/pack-up the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
