Two fire crews were called to the Parkside sawmill in the Wondai Industrial Estate on Friday morning after a fire broke out in a 5m bin of sawdust.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were called about 5:20am to North Street.<\/p>\n

They had to wear breathing apparatus to fight the fire, which was contained to the large bin.<\/p>\n

An Emergency Services spokesman said sawdust fires can be particularly hard to fight as when one layer is put out, the fire can still be smouldering at lower levels.<\/p>\n

The fire was finally extinguished by 8:00am.<\/p>\n

Spontaneous combustion is believed to have been the cause.<\/p>\n

Police have charged a 48-year-old woman with drug offences after they searched a house in Earl Street, Kingaroy, last Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court charged with possessing cannabis, drug utensils and a set of digital scales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
