The inaugural Kingaroy Futsal Cup was played at Kingaroy State High School last year<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

October 31, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eighteen teams are expected to take part in this weekend’s Kingaroy Futsal Cup, which kicks off at 9:00am on Saturday at the Kingaroy High School Sports Auditorium.<\/p>\n

This is the second year the tournament has been held and local organiser Debbie Ovens expects it will be “huge”.<\/p>\n

Fourteen teams played in the round robin competition last year.<\/p>\n

Futsal teams from Kingaroy State High School and St Mary’s Catholic College travelled to Toowoomba at the weekend to compete in a school carnival.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The St Mary’s team won two games, lost one and drew one but lost their semi-final:<\/p>\n

Won 2-0 against Robina Maroon.
\nDrew 2-2 with Clontarf
\nLost 2-1 against at Ursula’s
\nWon 4-0 against Southern Cross
\nLost the semi-final 4-0 to Harristown<\/p>\n

School futsal coach Wade Toms said the St Mary’s girls missed a couple of easy finishes during the final which was disappointing. However as Harristown had won some of their games 13-0 \u00a0and 11-0, the team did well to hold them to 4-0.<\/p>\n
