Everything old was new again at Wondai State School’s Funky Festival on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The school fundraiser included stalls manned by students and teachers which featured re-used, recycled and re-imagined items for sale.<\/p>\n

There was everything from decorated pine cones (handy to store letters) to pinwheels made from old milk plastic bottles, bottlecap magnets and pet rocks (very cheap to feed).<\/p>\n

Old vinyl records found new lives as clocks and funky flowerpots.<\/p>\n

There was even a recycled fashion parade where students dressed to impress.<\/p>\n

The annual festival also featured all the regular highlights of a school fete, including amusement rides, live entertainment, pony rides and Steve Langton’s special sound garden display.<\/p>\n

Steve, whose magical musical creations featured at last year’s Sydney Festival and at the South Burnett’s own Tractor Tattoo, gave visitors the opportunity to make music on all sorts of recycled objects.<\/p>\n
