A 53-year-old woman was taken to Murgon Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after fire destroyed a highset timber home at Windera on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

The fire brigade was called to the blaze on the Murgon-Gayndah Road about 5:37am and found the building fully engulfed in flames and the roof collapsed.<\/p>\n

Several gas cylinders exploded while fire crews were on the scene.<\/p>\n

While urban fire crews dampened down the smouldering ruins, rural crews put out spot fires started by the main fire.<\/p>\n

Fire crews left the scene about 10:00am.<\/p>\n

Sgt Warren Lohmann, from Goomeri Police, said investigations were continuing but the cause of the fire was not thought to be suspicious.<\/p>\n
