October 25, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

This weekend will be one of the the last opportunities to catch the artworks by Kingaroy State High School students on display at the Kingaroy Art Gallery.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was officially opened by South Burnett Deputy Mayor Keith Campbell at a wine and cheese night on October 11.<\/p>\n

It features artworks from all senior grades – and many of them are available for sale (six were sold on the opening night!)<\/p>\n

Visitors can also vote for the People’s Choice winner.<\/p>\n

As the guests crowded around on the opening night, KSHS art co-ordinator Wendy Corstiaans invited several students to present a short explanation of their works.<\/p>\n

A highlight of the exhibition is student Emma Goodhew’s work “Personal Perception”, about bullying, which has won a Creative Generation Excellence Award for Visual Art, and has been selected for a touring exhibition.<\/p>\n
