Murgon State High School is encouraging teenagers who’ve dropped out of school to have another go.<\/p>\n

School Principal Greg Smith<\/strong> said students can always have a fresh start.<\/p>\n

He’s encouraging parents who want to bring their children back to the school to phone or come see him.<\/p>\n

The school believes some kids want to come back simply because they’re bored … walking the streets with nothing to do isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.<\/p>\n

“No matter why you’ve dropped out you can always have a new start,” Mr Smith said.<\/p>\n

“All we ask is for students to respect the school rules and try their hardest.<\/p>\n

“We’re not asking our students to be geniuses. We try to cater to all our children’s learning patterns and interests as best we can.<\/p>\n

“The best way we can do this is for us to sit down and have a chat.”<\/p>\n

Mr Smith said his office would be open on the last Friday of the school holidays for people to drop in. Or you can phone Greg on (07) 4169-9222 to make a time to have a chat.<\/strong><\/p>\n
